Well, it's been months since I last posted. The garden and fall shows kept me busy. But now I can settle in and begin working on some new directions for the new year. Here are some examples of newer work.

Although I have vegetable seeds started in the basement, spring still feels pretty far off. The snow is receding very slowly.

With more now predicted for tomorrow, spring doesn't seem to be coming any time soon. So I create my own! Here are coneflowers, based on some I saw last year while at the Central Pennsylvania Festival of the Arts in State College.

With a big snowstorm possibly on its way, I needed a reminder of summer! This bright and sunny piece is based on a photograph my daughter shot while we were in Tuscany a couple of years ago. It is needle-felted silk and wool. I'll have it in my booth at the ACC show later this month.

I recently published a book of my fiber artwork. It contains 40 pages with images of my work as well as descriptions and photos of my techniques. The book is available for sale at craft shows or by emailing me.

I also just published a book of Garden Portraits, which features paintings in fiber along with photographs of the gardens that inspired them. A number of pieces were commissioned by clients with fabulous gardens.

I spent much of December and January cutting and nipping tiles for our new kitchen table. A splash of color for the kitchen!

This piece combines several of the techniques I love to use: bobbin embroidery and needle-felting. While waterlilies have often been subjects of my work, this vertical format is unusual for me.
